French Madonna Rondel with reinforced tip

Rondel dagger based on a composite of pieces from the Army Museum in Paris and dated around 1500. The grip is made of ribbed laburnum wood and the fittings are in bronze. The pommel cap features a sculpt of a Madonna and child. The blade is robust hollow ground and double edged with a heavily reinforced tip.

Sheath is made from moulded double layer brown veg tan leather, a hemp suspension cord and finished with a bronze chape.
