Bohemian bauernwehr – antler
Mid to late 15thC Bohemian Bauernwehr with the distinctive exaggerated step between the blade and the grip, but otherwise fulfils the same role as the more familiar German style.
Used for working and fighting as demonstrated by the strong single edged blade and nagel. Has an antler grip with bronze and brass decorative rivets, copper inlaid makers mark and comes with a double layer veg tan sheath in brown with stamped and incised decoration and a bronze chape.
