16thC Sporting crossbow

This simple and plain renaissance crossbow is based on Italian and Spanish pieces from the 16thC.
It is characterised by a plain straight and very slender stock; the width of the nut. The stock is reinforced with steel side plates and a steel bracket on the forestock that mounts the bow.
The crossbow has a draw weight of 180lb and comes with one bolt and a goats foot lever for spanning.
