14thC-15thC Studded Bollock Dagger - IN STOCK

Bollock daggers were the classic medieval side arm of the fairly poor, both soldiers, archers and civilians throughout the 14thC and 15thC.  Small, handy and useful for general tasks and of course for fighting and civil defence.

In the 14thC and for working people generally they were usually single sided and this has a strong single edged blade that is short enough for tasks and long enough for fighting.  Box wood grip with a bronze pommel cap and latten (brass) decorative studs to elevate its lowly status a little.

Comes with a double layer naturally tanned sheath with simple incised and stamped decoration and finished with a bronze chape.

Blade 21cm/8.5"

Grip 8cm/3.25"

Overall length 32cm/12.5"
