14th and 15thC Southern French Quillon dagger - SOLD

Based on excavated examples.  

The odd pommel, the mix of steel guard and bronze pommel make this typically Southern French.

The long and strong diamond ground double edged blade with copper inlaid makers mark. is housed in a brown veg tan leather sheath with bronze chape. The grip is cord bound leather.

Note the grip is meant to include the pommel so how grip length appears short.
