Swiss/German baselard SOLD

This classic German and Swiss medieval dagger of the 14th, 15th and 16thC is based on multiple examples.  

Constructed very differently to the Italian and English variants, using a whittle tang rather than scale tang, this medieval baselard dagger has a short and stout double sided blade with a small amount of flare near the guard and a single fuller.

The sheath has fabricated steel fittings made in a style only found on baselards.

Double edged with 25cm blade and yew grip.
