This Scottish Dirk dagger is based on the early simple dirks of the 17thC and had a guard and pommel of cast brass with a turned, ribbed blackwood grip and a castelated peen nut.
The blade is a strong 6mm/1/4" thick at the guard, with a single fuller and tapering down to a wicked point with a false edge.
Blade length 35cm/13.5"
Overall length 48cm/19"
Grip length 8cm/3.25" (This is a the actual length of the grip from pommel to haunches, the fist actually grips down onto the haunches so a reasonable grip length on this knife is actually 10cm/4")
