A stunning renaissance medieval dagger favoured by the Landsknechts and dated from the early 16thC.
The Landsknechts were mercenaries from Germany and Switzerland from the very late 15th and first half of the 16thC and were famed for their fighting and very flamboyant clothes and weapons.
This dagger is based on a piece in the Metropolitan Museum.
