13/14thC simple box wood medieval eating knife 101

A simple early medieval eating knife based on multiple pieces from Knives and Scabbards (MOL book).

The sheath is made from double layer leather and is finished with a convoluted hemp cord suspension binding and a simple incised floral decoration.

The grip is of whittle tang construction and made from box wood and is faceted.

Overall length 20cm/7.75"

Blade length 11cm/4.25"

Grip length 85mm/3.5"
