16thC sporting crossbow

This simple and plain renaissance crossbow is based on Italian and Spanish pieces from the 16thC.

It is characterised by a plain straight and very slender stock; the width of the nut.  The stock is reinforced with steel side plates and a steel bracket on the forestock that mounts the bow.

The crossbow comes with either a gaffe lever or a goats foot lever and can be supplied at 180lbs or 350lbs
