A German/Swiss medieval hunting knife from the 15thC.
This medieval hunting knife is typical of the Bauernwehr form and is a small version of its bigger brothers, with a clipped point, steel bolsters and slender curved pommel.
The knife has a copper inlaid makers mark, copper inlaid punch marks and highly figured box wood scales. The double layer veg tan leather sheath is decorated with a carved and stamped floral and geometric decoration.
