Medieval Quillon Dagger late 14th Century - SOLD

Late 14th Century Medieval Quillon Dagger. Double sided diamond shaped blade with straight Quillons and unusually, an octagonal pommel, the form of which was taken from a knife dated 1280. Double layer vegtan sheath has incised decorations front and back and is finished with a simple sheetwork bronze chape.

This knife has been featured in an, as yet un-broadcast documentary forensically examining the injuries on an ancient skeleton.

Blade length 22.5cm/8.75"

Grip length 8cm/3.13" (your hand runs onto the pommel)

Overall length 34cm/13.5"
