14th and 15th Southern French Quillon dagger

Based on excavated examples.

The odd pommel, the mix of steel guard and bronze pommel and the long blade all make this typically Southern French.

The long and strong diamond ground double edged blade is housed in a brown veg tan leather sheath with bronze chape.  The grip is cord bound leather.

Copper inlaid makers mark.
